Tooth Colored Filling

There are many reasons why patients prefer tooth-colored fillings over traditional silver fillings. The benefits of utilizing tooth-colored fillings include:

Custom Shades—The shade of the resin is made to blend in flawlessly.
Long-Lasting—They are durable and can last up to 15 years.
Preserve Tooth Structure—Require less of the natural tooth to be removed.
Safer for Teeth—Our composite fillings are mercury-free, unlike silver fillings.
Strengthen Teeth—Tooth-colored fillings strengthen and support the natural tooth.

Crowns

A dental crown can provide support, structure, and function to a tooth that is too weak or damaged. Your dentist can bond the crown, or dental cap, to your tooth so that it feels and functions just like your natural teeth.

Implants

A dental implant is a small titanium post that is surgically placed into the jawbone, providing a foundation for a replacement tooth or teeth. Placing an implant is a common surgical procedure performed by your highly trained dentist at High-Street Dental Terrell

Wisdom Teeth Removal

Wisdom tooth extraction is a surgical procedure to remove one or more wisdom teeth. The four permanent adult teeth located at the back corners of your mouth on the top and bottom.

If a wisdom tooth doesn't have room to grow (impacted wisdom tooth), resulting in pain, infection or other dental problems, you'll likely need to have it pulled. Wisdom tooth extraction can be done by your dentist at High-street Dental Terrell

Root Canals

A root canal is a simple treatment that saves a tooth when its pulp has become infected. The pulp is at the center of your tooth and is a collection of blood vessels that helps to build the surrounding tooth. Infection of the pulp can be caused by trauma to the tooth, deep decay, cracks and chips, or repeated dental procedures. Various symptoms of the infection may include visible injury or swelling of the tooth and sensitivity to temperature or pain in the tooth or gums.

Sealants

Highly effective in preventing decay on the biting surfaces of your chewing teeth, dental sealants are a simple procedure in which a tooth-colored acrylic "coating" is painted onto the surface of the tooth. Dental sealants effectively "seals" the deep grooves, acting as a barrier and protecting enamel from plaque and acids. Dental sealants protect the depressions and grooves of your teeth from food particles and plaque that brushing and flossing can't reach. Easy to apply, dental sealants take only a few minutes to seal each tooth. Sealants hold up well under the force of normal chewing and can last several years before a reapplication is needed.

Extractions

You and your Dentist may determine that you need a tooth extraction for any number of reasons. Some teeth are extracted because they are severely decayed; others may have advanced periodontal disease, or have broken in a way that cannot be repaired. Other teeth may need removal because they are poorly positioned in the mouth (such as impacted teeth), or in preparation for orthodontic treatment. The removal of a single tooth can lead to problems related to your chewing ability, problems with your jaw joint, and shifting teeth, which can have a major impact on your dental health. To avoid these complications, in most cases, our dentist will discuss alternatives to extractions as well as the replacement of the extracted tooth.

Dentures, Partials Relines

A denture or a complete denture as it is often called, an appliance that is inserted in the mouth, replaces natural teeth and provides support for the cheeks and lips. Most dentures are made of acrylic and can be fabricated two different ways. A conventional denture is made after all teeth have been extracted and the tissues (gums) have healed. An immediate denture is fabricated and inserted immediately after the teeth are extracted and the tissues are allowed to heal under the denture. An upper denture has acrylic, usually flesh colored, which covers the palate (roof of the mouth). A lower denture is shaped like a horseshoe to leave room for the tongue.
